Book: Thoughts on religion

History shows that religion we do not progress, but regress. This, however, it doesn't matter: whatever it was, will definitely be a new God and a new religion. They will be presented to the population of the earth and taken them under pressure the only arguments with which managed to convince any nation to adopt Christianity or any other religion, unless it was the religion of their fathers: the Bible, sword, fire, and axe.

Do I think that the Christian religion will exist forever? I have no reason to think so. Prior to failure the world has known thousands of religions. They are all dead. <...> No, I believe that Christianity and its God, are not exceptions to the General rule. They, in turn, should disappear and make room for another God, and even more stupid religion.

There is nothing so absurd or so unlikely that the average person could not believe it.

Much advanced to the tolerance of mankind for the time elapsed between slaughter of the Albigenses and these Jewish pogroms in tsarist Russia? Anyway, between them, of course, there is one difference. Royal carnage far surpassed the ancient and atrocities, and refined cruelty. Can you notice any progress between the Bartholomew's night of these riots? Yes, the difference is that the Russian black hundreds-Christians in 1906, and their king came to such a bloodthirsty and animal cruelty, which never dreamed their uncouth brethren, who lived 335 years ago.

The priests and the optimists like to preach that humanity is continuously moving forward to perfection. As usual, they do not support their opinion with statistics. It is the General rule the priests and the optimists too.

The Scriptures definitely have the same characteristic drawbacks. All of them are just pathetic poverty of imagination. It catches the eye first. The second drawback is that each without the slightest on the right claim to originality. Every extensively borrows from previous without reference to the source, which, of course, is a dishonest act. Each in turn assigns the decayed previous props and ingenuous confidence, trying to give his most recent and final revelation, just received from heaven.

Our religion is a horrible religion. In the seas of innocent blood that was spilled, could without interference to accommodate all the navies of the world.

The clergy and the Church destitute people spreading ignorance, superstition and servility, and then deify yourself for your noble work, which consists in the fact that they are handing out crumbs of assistance, extracting them not from their own coffers and pockets of the poor whom they have created.

Let's talk about the one true God, present God, the great God, the highest and Supreme God, the authentic Creator of the real universe... universe, not made by hand to an astronomical nursery, but arose in the boundless length of space at the command just mentioned true God, the God is unimaginably great and glorious, in comparison with which all other gods, myriads swarming in a pathetic human imagination, such a swarm of mosquitoes, lost in the empty infinity of the sky...

Our Bible paints God's character with comprehensive and ruthless precision. The portrait that she offers us, is essentially the portrait of a man, of course, if you can imagine a man that's filled and overflowing with anger beyond human limits... All his acts depicted in the old Testament, talking about his grudge, injustice, pettiness, ruthlessness, vindictiveness. He only does that punish - punishes wrongdoing with a tiny fold severity; punishing innocent children for the misdeeds of their parents; punishes the innocent not the guilty inhabitants of the countries for the misdeeds of their rulers; and condescends even to the point that unleashes a bloody revenge on the meek calves, lambs, sheep and oxen, in order to punish trifling sins of their owners. More vile and revealing biographies in print does not exist. After reading it, you start to think of Nero angel...
