"I take off my hat," Harding says, bows his head, and shakes hands with McMurphy.
Mr. Bibbit, you might warn your Mr. Harding that I'm so crazy I voted for Eisenhower.

- And you say in response to Mr. Harding, <...> I'm so crazy I plan to vote for Eisenhower and in this November!
Hat's off, Harding says, bows his head and shakes hands with McMurphy.

- Impossible? He looks down at the piece of towel she's nose to nose, towel wet and stuck. - Towels against ward policy too? Well then, nothing remains as...
- Wait! Don't you dare. Immediately go to the bedroom and get dressed!

A face handsome and brutal and waxy like a mask, wanting nothing. I've seen a million faces like it.

And later, hiding in the latrine from the black boys, I'd take a look at my own self in the mirror and wonder how it was possible that anybody could manage such an enormous thing as being what he was.
And after hiding in the bathroom from the nurses, I looked at myself in the mirror and was surprised that someone managed such an unheard of thing - to be yourself.
