Eve Smith is dead. You can no longer harm her. True, you won't be able to help either. You can't even ask her for forgiveness. But remember this, there are still millions and millions of ordinary people left by our side, countless Evas and John Smiths, with their lives, with their hopes and fears, with their sufferings and expectations of happiness. And all of their lives are intertwined with our lives and with our thoughts, words and deeds. We do not live on this earth alone - we are components of one organism.
