Book: The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger

For fish the universe is a lake in which she lives. What does a fish when it is pulled out, hooking over the lip, silver border through usual existence to another, a new universe where the air for her killer, and the light is blue madness? Where some two-legged giants with no gills shove it in a stuffy box and covered with wet grass, left there to die?

The fire had burned down. The stars have paled. The wind never calmed down. The wind, too, had a story he told in the void.

In my humble opinion, equal only to speak the truth to each other. Friends and loved ones, entangled in a web of mutual debt, lie endlessly. And it's so tiring!

Very few - if any were - managed to grasp the Principle of Reality: new knowledge always leads to new mysteries, the mysteries, is even more amazing. The more psychologists learn about the abilities of the brain, the more intense and desperate became the search of a soul whose existence was regarded as fact is questionable, but still likely.

Let's say you went to the border of the Universe. And what will be there? Deaf high fence and a sign "the end"? No. Maybe there will be something firm and rounded like an egg is seen inside another developpeuse chicken. And if you suddenly manage to break through the shell (or find a door), imagine what a powerful shining light can pour in your hole at the edge of the universe. And suddenly you look out and discover our entire universe is only a part of the atom some thin blades of grass? And then, maybe, you will understand that, burning in the fire of just one twig, you turn thereby to ashes countless infinite worlds. That the universe is not one infinity, but an infinite number of infinities.

That's strange a person grows up and forgets about his childhood with his childish rituals and spells - much is lost along the way, but something still remains firmly stuck in the brain, grabs you in a stranglehold, and you're carrying that weight all his life, and every year it is harder and harder.

Time whitens the hair of the beard, takes the jumping ability and strength, and you still continue to believe - the stupid fool - that it is on your side.
