- Oh, no, my love. From my father I inherited a skepticism about religion, he considered her silly tales. But I wouldn't go so far. I see little good in religion as it is practiced, as in astrology or the belief in witchcraft and omens, in the success or failure. I think it all comes from some lack in the human mind, maybe because of the reluctance to stay alone. But from time to time I'm starting to think that there is something besides the material world, we can feel it, but can't explain. Under religious views hides the gross reality of our lives, because we know we have to live and die like any animal. But sometimes I think that underneath this harsh reality lies something else, something deeper, and is much closer to this reality than we know reality.
