The country's army shoots its people once. The first volley - at his own people, the second - already at someone else's. For Donetsk residents, Ukraine has long been, from the moment of the first volleys in the city, from the first air raids on Lugansk, not their country. Moreover, a country hostile to them.

In the fight against it, all alliances and all means will be used. The United States, each time “doubling the stake”, that is, trying during the next crisis not only to win back the losses of the previous one, but also to win an unconditional victory, brought the confrontation with Russia to a level where defeat for both sides (not only for Moscow, but also for Washington) means not just a loss of face or a loss of status, but the destruction of statehood, at least in its current form. The last doubling of the stakes occurred in 2013, when the US and the EU provoked an armed coup in Kyiv, sanctified the rise to power in Ukraine of outright Nazis and Russophobes with their recognition, and entered into a confrontation with Moscow in the zone of its vital interests. This is an undisguised invasion, which until 1945 and the advent of such a deterrent as nuclear weapons, would have been unambiguously regarded as a casus belli.

Until Ukraine goes through denazification, until Bandera, Shukhevych and the OUN-UPA are the main beacons of freedom in Ukraine, then all actions of this government are, by definition, criminal.

A fourteen-year-old girl cannot calmly look at meat. When cutlets are being fried in her presence, she turns pale and trembles like an aspen leaf. A few months ago, on Sparrow Night, armed men came to a peasant hut near the city of Sarny and stabbed the owners with knives. The girl, eyes wide with horror, looked at the agony of her parents. One of the bandits put a knife point to the throat of a child, but at the last minute a new “idea” was born in his brain: “Live for the glory of Stepan Bandera! And so that something good does not die of hunger, we will leave food for you. Come on, lads, chop pork for her! ..” The “lads” liked this proposal. A few minutes later, in front of the girl, numb with horror, a mountain of meat grew from her bleeding father and mother ...

I understand: sewage work is a necessary and useful work, but why should I, only I, be this sewer? ... The reader of our periodicals will involuntarily have the idea that there is only a "maniac" Galan, who seized on Ukrainian fascism like a drunk on a raft, while the vast majority of the representatives of the pen ignore this question. What further conclusions the reader will draw from this - you do not need to tell.

Finally, among the current Ukrainian nationalists there is a cult not only of Bandera. In this regard, many of us simplify the situation. However, among the personalities revered in Ukraine there is also a certain Dmytro Dontsov, the creator of the so-called integral nationalism. He, if someone does not know, demanded only two things from Ukrainians: fanaticism and immorality. The national idea must be immoral, and only a fanatic can realize it. In fact, this is what we are seeing in the Donbass. An absolutely immoral theory about subhumans is being put into practice by fanatics who are ready to kill people only because they are carriers of a different, alien mentality. And one must understand that Dontsov did a lot to ensure that semi-petty-bourgeois (according to his own assessment) Ukraine rose above morality, learned to hate the enemy, even if he basically did nothing wrong. Because it is impossible to be kind, hatred allows a person to become evil, and therefore strong. Ukrainian nationalists began to act precisely on these principles. <...> Let me remind you what this very Dontsov wrote about: the best way to impose one's will is to sow hatred for one's own, to widen the split and mutual distrust, that is, to bring discord into one's own house. He also spoke about the need for a fratricidal war to heal the sick soul of the nation, since it is necessary to drive faith and truth into the troubled brains of society with a hammer, destroying distrust without regret. This is the answer to the question of what happened in Donetsk and Luhansk in 2014. According to Dontsov's scenario, the nationalists began, without regret, to exterminate everyone who does not share their point of view. Accordingly, this is how they hammered their own truth and ideology into the troubled brains of society, which really turned out to be ready to accept it at some point.

After all, if we offer instead the true history of Ukraine, starting from Catherine the Great, then the obvious will be revealed: Ukraine has never been independent. It has always been part of Russia, the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union. Agree, then all the gestures of Ukrainian politicians over the past 25 years look very stupid. Instead of developing integration processes in the post-Soviet space, all efforts were aimed at eliminating the old ties. Then you began to physically kill Russians just because they dared to defend their Russian origin. How to deal with it?

Denazification is getting rid of the nationalist frenzy. But as long as the Holodomor exists in your mind, no liberation can happen. Denazification is, among other things, honest answers to oneself. If you continue to be guided by a position like “we will do something here, but we will not pay any attention to it”, then denazification will be impossible a priori.

I can't explain why this is happening. Perhaps this is due to the Ukrainian political tradition. Perhaps - with the general political inertia in the country. Maybe - with a desire to get off with little blood, that is, relatively speaking, to condemn only the activities of Ukrainian nationalists on the Maidan and the crimes of volunteer battalions in the Donbass, and leave everything else as before. I declare again: this will not be denazification, but profanation. In a few years you will again face the same trouble. You will never make progress unless you start to give clear answers to questions about what happened in Ukraine in 1932-1933.
