I tried to come to terms with my inner world, but I just could not determine whether I was right or not. I am not one of those who believe that parents, in particular mothers, wish their children only the best. Tell this to the person whose father or mother beat him or even raped him. It can hardly be attributed to the fact that he or she wished well in such a perverse way. Therefore, as soon as it became clear that Sofia did not want to return the child and raise him alone, I experienced something akin to gratitude, because she did not smile at us, saying that she would be an exemplary mother, but honestly admitted that she did not want to get involved in this. ...
