Pain is not always suffering.

Each Sea Queen is born as a simple siren and only with a crown in return for a tail receives powerful tentacles that can hold back the onslaught of armies. She becomes a squid rather than a fish, and with this transformation, magic flourishes in the queen, great and indomitable. The one that changes the shape of the seas at the whim of the mistress. The Sea Queen is the Sea Witch.

Light is capable of many things. Unexplainable. Light can lie.

You can't hesitate. This is a key part of my image: never get upset, get angry or procrastinous. Be responsible for your own life and destiny.

As they die, the sirens return to the ocean.

The rulers will not be overthrown for long. And only princes have a special charm. In their youth. In loyalty to his people. In what they should be. They are the next generation of rulers, and by killing them I am killing the future. Just like my mother taught me.

The Queen cannot be admired. You have to be afraid of her.

Our cruelty is priceless. Feelings of friendship and kinship are as foreign to us as the earth.

There are legends about the beauty of sirens, but royal blood flows in ketones, and this gives a special magnificence. Greatness forged by salt water and royal privileges. Our eyelashes are woven from the ice chips of icebergs, our lips are stained with the blood of sailors. It's even strange that we need a song to steal hearts at all.

Like all monsters, they can be deadly, but where sirens seduce and kill, mermaids themselves succumb to human charm.

Hearts are strength, and if my people yearn for something more desperately than the depths of the ocean, then it is it.
