Russian culture is largely based on individual manifestations. It cannot be said that there is Russian cinema. There is no Russian cinema. There is cinema that is created by specific people through their own efforts.

Historically, Russia lost the Caucasus at great cost. Hundreds of thousands of people, residents of these places, were killed, hundreds of thousands fled - they live in Jordan, some in Turkey, some in Syria. But this was their homeland. You can't pretend that this didn't happen. Today it’s time for Russia to say: “Forgive us for this. We ask forgiveness for wars, for bayonets, for wanderings and hardships, for cruelty!” I spoke about this in the presence of the president - that it was necessary to hold a conference on the Caucasus, to discuss what Russian weapons had done there. No results. And in Chechnya we are dealing with a bomb that can explode at any moment.

Our happy marriage began through literature. When I read Russian writers, it’s as if my inner eyes open.

It is still easier for some people to scold their native country than to finally begin to be proud of it.

The point is a truth that is clear to everyone, and felt by me: the West has always been and will be against Russia, but it will never achieve victory as long as there is at least a drop of real Russians in us. At least a drop of Shugaley. Be at least a little Shugaley, don’t fawn over the West.

Our homeland was large, good and fair, but a little clumsy and simple-minded, which is why our enemies managed to slander us century after century. Enemy land stretched around our Motherland, from where they came to kill and rob, and in the intervals between aggressive campaigns they poured confusion and poison into our souls.

For five centuries now we have been living from confiscation to mobilization, and compassionate people from their estates recommend having more children, because someone needs to be enlisted in the cavalry.

The Russian government is always absolutely unpredictable and extremely cruel.

Only God knows what will happen to Russia. Let him help her!
