Illusion is born from reality. Reality is born from illusion.

What appears to be bravery is sometimes just malice.

Expectation is the most trusting gullible state of a person, illusions are the most expendable.

The feeling that more needed to be done reflects, I think, an underlying desire to control the uncontrollable. After all, if a person feels guilty about not doing something they should have done, then it follows that something could have been done - a convenient thought that distracts us from our pitiful helplessness in the face of death. Clothed in an elaborate illusion of limitless possibilities, we all, at least until the onset of a mid-life crisis, hold on to the belief that our existence is an endlessly ascending spiral of achievement, dependent only on our will.

You think you have a choice, but what you have is an illusion of choice. And I decide what options you have.

Gestalt promotes authentic contact with others, creative adaptation of the organism to its environment, and awareness of the internal mechanisms that very often push us into repetitive and outdated behavior that has lost its effective force. It reveals blockade processes and breaks in the normal cycle of need satisfaction, it exposes our avoidances, our fears and our repressions, as well as our illusions.
