If you think you can't do something, then know that the only person who can tell you "no" is yourself. So you should keep doing what you want to do.

As a child, I was terribly afraid of thunderstorms. I grew up in Texas and was so afraid that thunder and lightning meant a tornado was coming. But my mother gave me children's books that explained the nature of storms, thunder and lightning, and simply said: "The more you know about this, the less you will be afraid." And it really helped.
