Character: Hardin Scott

Before I met you, I didn't know what it was like to look at someone and smile just like that, for no reason.

Get me wrong, being alone sucks, Hardin wedges into my fantasies. - Believe me, I know.

"Tessa," I call her quietly, hoping she won't hear me.

I am reminded of a book in which the inhabitants of one town vowed not to apologize to their neighbors anymore. It turned out funny, because they found out that in ninety percent of cases they ask for forgiveness when they don't even have wine on them.

Everyone in life has a person in whose company you feel better.

Why seek approval from someone I hate? To heighten your sense of self-importance?

Sometimes you just want to isolate yourself from the world, and this is where music and books help.

Damn it, she was laughing, and she had to sit across from me and fight for my attention.

"There is a big difference between not being able to live without someone and loving," he replies.
