People's feelings ambiguous, and the people themselves are unstable. That's how people are.

Oh, these love promises! So you see this first vow to give each other two beings of flesh and blood... Everything is transitory in themselves and around them - and they give each other eternal vows, believing your heart is not subject to any vicissitudes.

Want something specific, and something one is a sign of wisdom; the inconstancy of desires - the most obvious proof of the stupidity; I will never cease to repeat the words of Seneca: "he who does not know to which port routed, will never be a fair wind".

Variability - periodic abundance of regaining the affections.

Life is the wholeness of a fickle.

The only thing we do know about human nature is that it changes. Variability is the only predictable her property.

Everything in life is temporary, shaky and unstable, everything is unstoppable, and the gods, and the people that it had already ended, that is - that is not forever...

The person experiencing the greatness must feel of myth interwoven with his life. It needs to reflect the fact that this myth is projected onto it. And it needs to be especially ironic because the irony keeps him from belief in his own greatness, it is the only thing that will give him mobility inside. Without this quality, even occasional greatness will destroy a man.

Because we are so fickle in friendship that it is difficult to know the properties of the human soul and it is easy to know the properties of his mind.

Idleness always engenders in the soul of impermanence.
