In my youth, I once heard from my mother that when I was not at home, she was afraid of phone calls: a phone call could mean bad news.

That's why I don't pick up the phone when they call me.

When you call someone, you are unlikely to be told, "Please don't hang up, I'll be there in fifteen minutes." But the same person, if you are sitting in his office, may well make you wait the same amount of time for the end of his telephone conversation.

Have you noticed that you can call in different ways?... Sometimes, you sit in a chair, suddenly the bell - and how a cold shower rolled. Or vice versa, they will call, and it feels like a puppy in his legs is confused with joy. Calls, they are also like people: they are anxious, sleepless, proud or ready to cry. It was a special call. We haven't got a call like that yet. So they call when they return home after a round-the-world trip: they break in, throw dusty backpacks, drop worn sneakers, run to the kitchen and greedily drink water from the tap.

It will become boring - call, hang out together. And even if it's not boring, still call. Anyway, we'll hang out, I'll wait for the call.
