The city is overgrown with snowdrifts. Unremoved snow rose like white mountains. Trams and trolleybuses stood motionless with broken windows, and the wind shook broken, icy wires above them. Leningrad was turning into a ghost town.

I love snow... You go outside - everything around is white, clean, quiet, solemn. Snowflakes spin in the air, kiss your cheeks, tickle your nose, sit on your collar to go with you.
