It's amazing how much you can learn about another person just by showing interest in them.

Poetry works by arousing our curiosity, gradually forcing the mind to take an interest in the event, keeping the event in limbo, and finally surprising with unexpected disaster. The art of the artist is more limited and has nothing to match or perhaps equivalent to this power and advantage to lead the mind forward until attention is fully occupied. What is done by painting must be done in one stroke; curiosity immediately got every possible satisfaction.

Childhood is always drawn to the unknown. It makes us show genuine interest, evoking vivid emotions and feelings for everything alive and tender that surrounds us - while bringing up a sense of beauty for the rest of our lives!

If you talk to your best friend about the worst thing in your life, it's unbearable. And when you talk about it with a stranger who has no personal interest, the pain is sometimes less severe.
