A serious step towards Orthodoxy, because once calling yourself a Christian, you burn behind you the bridges of the life you lived in, in which you were just you. Now you are a servant of God and in this joyful bondage strength is drawn for adversity, and for defeat, and for injured pride, and for the highest art of sacrificial love.

In contrast to Christianity, “classical” pagan theology was supposed to be a theory of transcendence, a vision of the double transcendence of God. In other words, it was not enough for pagans - unlike Christians - to die (under the right conditions) to be face to face with the Divine. This Theos also exists hopelessly on the other side of the Otherworldly, which the pagan, after his death, can, on occasion, reach. Leaving the earth, a pagan will never take the path that could lead him to his God.

Christianity does not solve problems, it removes them.

I see some young guys - our compatriots, not read a single line from the gospel, begin to read brahminical, Buddhist literature, the Koran and the like. They go to an Indian guru.
