Despair makes people truly fearless. Pushes you to do unexpected things.

If, because of wrong words, actions and decisions, a red light came on over a person’s head, then an endless scarlet fireworks would be booming above me.

The constant, obvious, contrary to evidence, flattery of the people around him [Emperor Nicholas] brought him to the point where he no longer saw his contradictions, no longer adjusted his actions and words to reality, with logic or even with simple common sense, but was completely confident that all his orders, no matter how senseless, unfair and inconsistent with each other, became meaningful, fair, and consistent with each other only because he made them.

Actions are the clothing of the mind!

Our actions are nothing more than scattered, uncoordinated actions, and we want, using false names, to earn honor. Virtue demands that it be observed for its own sake; and if sometimes they hide behind it for other purposes, it immediately tears the mask off your face.

Our intentions are the judge of our actions.

Every time you feel obligated to explain your actions, as if you are the only one in the whole world who lives wrong. It's the same feeling of self-importance.

Allowing yourself to make fun of children is almost a crime. They leave an indelible mark on the child’s soul, which affects his habits and actions in adulthood.

Misfortunes and troubles can, of course, befall people, but everything that people do themselves, they do on their own responsibility and must certainly be held accountable for their actions.

Sometimes people do stupid things, even if you warn them of the consequences. And when they come, they also blame you for it. At such moments I want to say, “I am not to blame for other people’s cretinism.”

The biblical hour of judgment is the hour when everyone will have to bear responsibility for their actions. And for irresponsible people, there is nothing more terrifying.

I once thought June was the answer to everything. When she was a baby, I looked at her and thought that her love would remain unchanged, despite my actions. And since then I've been trying to feel it again. But she's getting older. Now her love has too many conditions.

It cannot be denied that it is incomparably more beneficial in the interests of the private individual and in the interests of the public to nip the manifested will in its bud, preventing it from developing and actually causing the intended harm. The state deals with the actions of people, and not with their conscience, ideas, beliefs. Any deviation from this principle constitutes a return to the era of persecution of thought - the era of the Inquisition and torture.

Lovely days that fill our soul with joy and satisfaction bring with them incredible energy and brightness. A true friend, whose noble deeds always bring us joy and amuses us with his presence, fills our lives with joy and indelible moments. But true gratitude is felt in moments when complete well-being and harmony reign around us, and only happy emotions and unforgettable impressions are present in our lives.
