Why does tragedy not inspire despair in us, but, on the contrary, purifies our souls and reconciles with life? This is achieved by that mysterious power that is hidden in art - the power that transforms life's horror into beauty and makes it the object of our aesthetic pleasure.

But ... really ... all these horrors will come true? ...

Horror is danger from higher forces, and fear is from lower ones. Longing - a feeling of abandonment of God, craving for the higher, unknowable, and boredom - emptiness and vulgarity of the lower world - from a collision with people, the state, money, etc. Routine, monotony of life, a sense of its finiteness causes a feeling of boredom. Longing is the emptiness of the higher, boredom is the emptiness of the lower.

I won. I tried to smile, but it was a smile of despair. I felt only pity, terror and emptiness in my soul. Everyone I loved and who loved me all left and died...

... Nowadays, every conversation is just a horror, other people's beliefs now and then come to the surface, making people blush.

The real horrors that we believe in, from the category of what Dostoevsky, Albee and MacDonald wrote about, are hatred, alienation, aging without love, entering an incomprehensible and hostile world with the uncertain gait of a young man. And in our everyday reality we often resemble a tragic-comedic mask, grinning from the outside and mournfully dropping the corners of the lips inside. Somewhere, of course, there is some central switching point, some transformer with wires that allows the two masks to be connected. And he is in the very place, in that corner of the soul, where horror stories fit so well.

Fashion tries to hide the horror and show only beauty. But both are part of our life.

The fierce cruelty of school love drives almost all adults into collective amnesia. Having experienced this horror in due time, they lock the corresponding memories in the darkest compartment of the subconscious, storing them there forever, because it is unbearable to think about it. And the dexterous you were at school romance games, the deeper your embarrassing memories are buried. For this reason, parents so often experience vague anxiety when looking at their high school children, but they freeze at the thought of asking their offspring about their social life. A broken heart, they console themselves, is "an inevitable stage of growing up."

I think I'm a pretty good singer, so hopefully someone will write an interesting musical and invite me to play in it. It wouldn't be bad if it was a horror movie.
