As a child, I went to church in the evenings - on Sunday and Wednesday. Like any decent Baptist. I even liked it. The world seemed simple and clear. As I got older, I realized that it wasn't. God, I was told, endowed people with freedom, but I could not understand why there is so much pain in the world. Why does God, who is so kind and loving, allow innocent people to suffer?

A religion that is not protected by the government usually shows more vitality than one that is.

No decrees or threats will replace religion with faith in socialism. God will always be needed by the people.

Thus, the Church cannot and should not arm the army, organize the police, intelligence and diplomacy, draw up the state budget, direct academic research, manage concerts and theaters, etc.; but the religious spirit radiated by it can and should ennoble and purify all this secular activity of people.

Prayer is an expression of our love, he declared. Love delivers us from all fears and disappointments. We want to convey to the children that the church is necessary and is the source and center of life, because Christ is necessary for us and is the source and center of our life. Connecting our homes to the Church is how we respond to boredom in the church. The church is very boring if we do not participate in what happens in it. If we do not understand the liturgy, the psalms, the readings, the images and sounds of the church, it is difficult to be attentive. The closer children get to know what they see, hear and smell in church, the more willingly they participate in its life. We help them become involved in the liturgical life of the Church by bringing the customs of the Church into our homes.

By giving little attention to children and yet forcing them to go to church, we are almost guaranteed to raise people who want nothing to do with the church.

The Church teaches us the veneration of icons, which in the language of education means respect for children and the establishment of clear boundaries in education.
