Game: Battleborn. Page 2

I think we need to dust off that project of mine. Let's tear to shreds the deception we call being! Burn it down and urinate on the ashes!

- This is Captain Trevor Galt, OMR Corps of Engineers. Leave your message.
- Galt! This is Gunnar Clise of the Union of the Last World. Director of "Strazh". We met once a couple of years ago, uh... it was on the planet, uh... So I'm the old man who called you a moron. Yeah, that one. Oh well. We're in trouble. Big, big trouble. As you've probably heard, magna karta is off and something creepy is happening to the magnuses. Without connection to Magna Kart, several Magnus fell into a rage. Our specimens are still coping, but who knows how long this will last? SFOR probably won't deal with the problem soon. I warn you: do not believe magnuses, even if they work normally. Hear? Pass it on to your superiors, like...
- Hey Mr. Lick! Sorry to interrupt, but I wanted to tell you about my cool idea. It's very important because it's awesomely cool. Hang up!
- Ha! Isaac? A what... Hey, are you okay there?
- Me? Everything is fine. It can't get any better! Now hang up!
- Galt! Report to OMR! And, for the sake of all that is holy, FLY HERE AND SAVE ME!

Personal diary. Encryption Protocol: Deandi Alpha-TR43... However, it is hardly needed. Ah, to hell with encryption! Let's live a dangerous life.
According to the annals, the Commandment was first sounded shortly after the appearance of the Jennerite Empire in its current incarnation. It put the survival of our species above all else. Some scholars believe that when the Commandment became something of a state motto, the empire lost its way, and as a result, Lothar Rendain came to power.
I am pleased to report that today's victory corrected the mistake made by our ancestors. When the smoke clears and we jennerites learn the lesson, I hope it will be time to forget the Commandment once and for all.
"To the end. At any cost." These words are taught to us from birth. But those of us who survived the War for Solus know that there is a price that cannot be paid. Some debts will haunt us for the rest of our unnaturally long lives. We must now find new words that will guide us and our allies.
I would suggest "Live together, die alone," but I accept other options.
Rendein is no more, as is our beloved Empress Lenora. And even though we are left without a helmsman in this new era, one thing is clear: we must follow this path together, as guardians of the Last Star. Like sentries in darkness.
Children of the Commandment, our war is not over yet. If we're lucky, it's never going to end.

- Well, that's it. The treaty is no more.
- I didn't think I would live to see the day when one of the parties went against us. It's Rendane - he even looks like the epitome of evil.
- Uh... We had to win this war. Instead, we run away from one star to another with our tail wagged.
- We're still alive. I mean, yeah. Rendaine is ruthless. He has jennerites, a huge army, a bunch of robots, legions of creepy varielsi...
- It's not any easier for me from your words now.
We lost Jennar only because of Rendein's "sudden but inevitable" betrayal. The Eldrids have an army... Well, something like an army. And there are robots! And your plans.
- Eldrids alone are not enough. I can attract OMR. I guess. And... well, probably Reynu and her rebels. Then, again, Deandi...
- Nope!... Forgive me. I don't trust the separatists. And I certainly don't trust Deandi.
- You can trust her. We have known her for a long time, and we have already agreed amicably with her. We'll pull her out alive from Tempest and she can delay Rendaine's final attack on Solus.
- She tortured you!
- Hey, who else do we rely on? On the faction? They're fighting among themselves again for resources. And they are waiting for defeat.
- Then in their stump! We don't need them, we have Captain Galt and his great plan. You know a lot of cool dudes, right? If they're just like me, then surely they owe you a debt. We don't need an army, we need a team. Precise strikes. No bureaucracy, no arguments, no tuff.
- Hmm... And that's not a bad idea. I'll make a couple of calls. Will you fly back to Solus?
- Along with the rest of the Eldrids.
- Okay. Because I have the perfect job for you.
- You're asking me to save Deandi, right?
- Yep.
- Your mother.

This is Trevor Galt from Nova, formerly from the United Peacekeeping Republics. If you hear this, then we somehow know each other. Maybe we fought together. Or, what the hell is not joking, fought against each other.
We will soon lose Penarch. It's clear as day. As soon as The Penarch disappears, there will be only one star left - Solus. The last star in the universe. And we will have nowhere to escape.
This is my call to all who can still fight. I urge you to forget about strife and past grievances, territorial claims and other. I ask you to put all this in the past and face the danger that threatens us today. Governments think we have a lid. They're getting ready to languish in darkness, but that's a one-way trip. Maybe they're right. But I believe that there is another way - forward! And you and I will walk on it together.
Here's what I want to say... Rendane betrayed us. You can't think of a worse situation. We are few, we have fewer weapons, and we are cornered. But I've been through too much to die in the darkness. I will fight for all that is left. And I urge you to fight with me - all who will become shoulder to shoulder with me to save the Last Star.
Our time has come.
