The Russians were sentenced. No one will enter into any negotiations with them. The whole task of the Russians is to become so strong that in this situation their strength becomes an argument for their existence. And there is no price too high for this to happen.

With languages, of course, the issue is always very difficult, but we have always successfully solved them. Do you know how many official languages there are in the country?... Thirty-seven. Thirty-seven state languages.

You see, the human point of view is inappropriate during the war, by and large. In any case, that point of view is human, which is appropriate in peacetime. There's nothing you can do about it - there's a war going on.

Europe, in my opinion, is dying, and calls cowardice - tolerance, powerlessness - multiculturalism, and it pays for it, and we will sip the echoes of this ... But we just have no other way! Another way is to take everything that has been created up to the present day, including Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy and so on - to cross out and absorb absolutely alien, terrible, mechanical, never combined with God in man.

Western consciousness. You can call it whatever you like. I call this ignorance. This is the consciousness of people who believe in themselves, in their exclusiveness, and at the same time have very little idea of what is happening in the rest of the world. This is a feature of the United States, in many respects now of the Western consciousness, which the Americans are adjusting to their mental stereotype. This is what we are dealing with. We are really dealing with a quasi-religious consciousness, where there is no room for doubt, where there is no room for admitting our own ignorance, and where there is no positive place for our country.

I believe that we still have Soviet ideology inside us. In my opinion, it was correct. Russia declares internationalism, respect for other peoples, the right of other peoples to vote. And all this happened in Soviet times. This was also said by Russian philosophers and writers in the 18th and 19th centuries. This is typical of Russia and Russian culture. This ideology exists. Although it has not been formed into a kind of religious order, as the Communist Party of the Soviet Union was. It is amazing that Russia made a religion out of pragmatic Western economic theory. And the CPSU was a religious order. Russians are not atheists. Every time they manage to find faith in the moment that they need. Therefore, the communists have always had a problem with other churches.

As a result of our conversation, we found one reasonable reason for this meeting (Putin and Biden). If we have an understanding that we are working to slow down the degradation process, then this is normal. Yes, we cannot change the degradation, the crisis is so deep and systemic that we do not yet know how to stop it. We understand that it can lead to a great catastrophe. But we proceed from the fact that let it lead to it more slowly. Suddenly, we'll come up with something during this time.

President Putin shared some historical knowledge (in a conversation with the editors of the news agency) about the forms of imperial existence. He said that, as a citizen of the Soviet Union, he knows for sure that at some point in imperial life, the confidence arises that all problems are solved, and very quickly either by purchase or by threat. But it turns out that there are so many of these problems that it was an illusion that they are being solved. And we remember this from the Soviet Union. And President Putin said such a tough thing. America is fully in this phase of its historical and imperial development, and that the number of America's problems exceeds the possibilities of the standard solutions to which the empire is accustomed.

We now live in international relations that do not envisage a breakthrough. It's such a turbulent process where a lot of things happen, but it's a flow that moves in one direction or the other. But in general, the direction is clear. The specific movement is uncertain, it is not known what will happen tomorrow, the day after tomorrow.

The point is that the president has demonstrated that Russia is seizing the initiative. And rightly so. The president showed style. And style is the presence of talent. And that's what sets this person apart from others. It is characteristic of Putin that he never says or does what is expected of him. And the main meaning of Putin's Address is not what he said, but what he did NOT say. The message is turned inward, but all its drama is turned outward. And the Message in many ways demonstrates that we are not going to fight, but we will defend our interests.

Our foreign policy and our principles differ from the more patient Russian policy. In Russian politics, it is not always customary to equally and equally respond to certain antics in relation to Russia. And we answer equally at best. We usually answer this disproportionately more.
