In psychology, there is an idea that "evil is stronger than good." This means that negative events have a much more important and long-term impact than positive ones, although there are many more days and years in our life that are generally good. Be aware of how much you remember an unpleasant encounter or traumatic event, and compare it to remembering a day when nothing bad happened. It's the bad moments that stick in my memory. Long after the impressions of a vacation at sea have faded, we remember the terrible return flight, the noisy drunk neighbor and the loss of luggage.

I don't really like to divide books by grade - apparently, the childhood trauma from the Great Soviet Encyclopedia, in which all writers were firmly divided into four types: "great", "outstanding", "prominent" and "famous", has an effect. Therefore, I avoid definitions like "great novel", "outstanding writer" and everything like that as much as possible. The main criterion for evaluating a book for me is its ability to change its reader: a good book is one from which you came out differently than you entered. Who did something to you, turned her eyes at a different angle, made you think about things that I had not thought about before. No matter how perfect the text, which did not leave a noticeable ripple in my soul, in my understanding, can hardly be considered good, and even more so great.

I enjoy tennis again. When you come back from an injury, bad days are inevitable, but now I have more good ones.
