Often it is our high expectations or lack of purpose that are the main causes of dissatisfaction with life.

How to get rid of a hole in the heart? By changing your behavior and focus of attention, comprehending your own experience, you change your attitude towards it, and it becomes smaller. I do not believe that it can be got rid of - I think I will feel it all my life - but I can assure you that I perceive it differently than before. It was filled with my love for other people and their love for me, places dear to me, books and words that softened me, the sound of the ocean, the smell of freshly plowed land, the beauty of flowers, the laughter of my daughter - I did not expect this. I perceive this emptiness in my heart differently because I deeply understood its impact on me and accepted the woman I have become, the child and girl I once was.

You only start to suffer from it when you wait for it to pass quickly and never come back. And when you remove such unrealistic expectations from life, it does not hurt you less, but you become more spacious and calmer.

It’s the same with people: you sometimes expect some actions from a person in vain, but he is simply filled with the wrong content to justify your expectations.

it is better to live one day, because our expectations are not justified. Anything happens in life, that's what life is for. There is nothing worse than a meaningless life.

Often, when praying, I asked that what seemed good to me be fulfilled, and, unreasonably stubborn in asking, I forced the will of God by force, and did not give myself up to God so that He would arrange everything economically, since He knows better than me what is useful to me. However, having received what I asked for, I then suffered greatly because I did not trust in the will of God, for the acquired thing deceived my expectations.

There are PROMISES that are sold to us at every turn, creating unrealistic expectations through exaggerated advertising. Trusting and incompetent people believe in fairy tales and buy hope and then become disappointed. While there are things that really work and give the desired result. It is sad to see how people who are forced to compete in a world of lies turn even the truth into a lie in order to be able to declare it and make money on it.

Having healthy self-esteem means appreciating yourself for who you are, having a positive view of your personality, having realistic expectations of yourself, and showing respect for yourself and being true to your values through your actions.
