But this not only creates knots in the soul, but also stops. It is possible to physically move between events and countries, notice how the reflection in the mirror ages, and the number of candles on the birthday cake increases over the years - but still be at the age and place when the mental trauma began. Personal collapse is akin to death. And without all the stages of grief, it is impossible to cope with this episode and overcome it. Both the death of a loved one and the murder of some part of oneself - as a rule, this is an innocent element of the essence - is accepted along with tears and anger. You can’t just keep something good and throw away the bad - it’s all intertwined. One thing leads to another. Or you cut off your past completely and pretend that it didn’t exist at all, and thereby cut off a piece of your life. Or you accept everything. At the same time, it is worth remembering: by avoiding pain, you are running away from the future.

It is not in the power of man to manage and keep events under control. Sometimes something cruel or irreparable does happen, and people are powerless to prevent it. And no prevention or precautionary strategy will provide a 100% guarantee: something can always happen. A stunning fact that sent many into a crushing psychological knockout.

Absolutely everything can be swept under the rug, but it won’t disappear on its own. It will remain lying there, and every time you trip over it, all this unsightly truth will again be exposed, all these worms swarming in the mental wound.

Everyday life with its content rushes by like a racing car, at a speed of three hundred kilometers per hour, absolutely indifferent to whether they are brushed aside or not. The world does not stand still to wait for the moment when a person is ready to think about what happened or decide on something - the clock is ticking. That’s why it’s pointless to be afraid to get involved in something out of fear that time is supposedly lost - the years will change anyway, whether you realize what you want or not.

When you put yourself in a dependent position, you can forget about spontaneity - a short leash of obligations is similar to shackles. It constrains and deprives you of ease.

What an insidious "was". How often do people use this verb, full of tragedy, without thinking about its irreparable meaning.

Although, perhaps, having lost the usual fuss, such a powerful thing as conscience freely seeps into the brain, inexorably weaving a network of guilt and remorse.

If you study dialogues after the fact, look for a symbol of disasters, then the harbinger will always be revealed. And the reason is not in fatal inattention, which prevented the prevention of the tragedy, but in the mystical beliefs rooted in the mind.
